I purchased a Logitech M310 wireless mouse because it was advertised to last up to 12–18 months on a single AA battery. However, my experience has been very different. The mouse only lasts about one month per battery, even when I use high-quality alkaline batteries and turn it off when not in use.

This is much shorter than promised and very frustrating, since long battery life was one of the main reasons I chose this mouse.
Please advise if there is a solution or if my unit may be defective.
