I have purchased a new MX Master 3S to replace an older MX Master 3. Opening Options+ I can see both mice, the old one with all of my configured applications and the new one with no user configuration. I would like to copy the configuration from the old mouse to the new one, but I can see no way to do this.

When looking for a solution online I saw this question raised a number of times on forums over the years, but with no solution.

I would like to request on behalf of myself and a LOT of other people that you please consider including an export and import function within Options+, which exports the configuration to a JSON, XML or similar file. I know the mouse models are different, but the key mappings are implemented identically, so I cannot see how having a simple mapping for Mouse Button > Function would be an issue.

In addition to this, the backup solution is flawed. If I enable automatic backups and accidentally delete some or all of my configuration, the next automatic backup will save a bad configuration. Because you only allow restoring from the last backup, there is no way to retrieve previous configuration. I would not consider this a valid backup solution. I have raised this before in ticket number : 9776418

Allowing users to export their configuration to file would solve all of the above and prevent the need for manually reconfiguring lots of applications each time something goes wrong or you accidentally delete something.

Alternatively allow configuration backups to the cloud, with the ability to select which back you want to restore on which device.
