No way to assign left or right button and Advanced click - click doesn't allow drag and hold/select text.
After updating from Logitech Options to the latest version of Logitech Options Plus, I noticed an issue with the custom button functionality.
In the previous version, I was able to assign specific actions like "Left Button" and "Right Button" to any customizable button. However, in Logitech Options Plus, the closest alternatives are "Advanced Click - Click" and "Advanced Click - Right Click." Additionally, I noticed that the only button explicitly available for assignment is the "Middle Button."
The primary issue with assigning "Advanced Click - Click" is that it no longer supports the click-and-hold functionality, which is essential for actions such as drag-and-drop or text selection. In the previous version of Logitech Options, assigning "Left Button" to a customizable button allowed me to perform these actions seamlessly. This change restricts the ability to duplicate the left or right button functionality onto other customizable buttons.
It seems this is either a bug or a significant (and limiting) change in behavior. As a result, basic functionality like clicking and holding for drag-and-drop actions or selecting text is no longer supported.
I request that the "Left Button" and "Right Button" options be added back to "Other Actions"—similar to how the "Middle Button" is available. Alternatively, improving the "Advanced Click - Click" feature to support click-and-hold actions for drag-and-drop and text selection would also resolve this issue.
Thank you!
