One user's experience with the Logitech intro to the MX Master 3S
These comments are about my experience with a new Logitech MX Master 3S mouse, not about the Logitech Options software.
I am pleased with the mouse, which works better than any other I have ever owned.
But setting up the thing, and especially learning about how to use it and its many controls, was absolutely terrible to an extent that surprised me.
The problem was in the material found at MXsetup.logi.com.
The one important part of knowing how to use the controls was in a fast-moving video, which:
(1) was far too fast, for no apparent reason,
(2) could not be paused,
(3) had text in a font so small as to be completely unreadable to me, and which could not be enlarged.
(4) had text that could not be copied for pasting into a text file for future reference.
I have no idea what was in that material and how to use the mouse, except insofar as I have played with it top figure out the basics.
Why on earth can there not be a simple page of text and illustrations -- with text that behaves like all other computer test, i.e. can be enlarged, copied, etc??
I will add that since I live in Hungary (though I do not speak Hungarian), the website first opened in a Hungarian-language version, and the page had no option to choose a language. I had to search the web to find an English version.
