It is a bug not a feature.
I have two MX Mini Keyboard and the settings are shared between them. So if I change on setting for one keyboard the other keyboard setting is updated. And I don't want that. I would like two different selection in my settings.

My expectation:
- Keyboard 1: backlight turn on
- Keyboard 2: backlight turn off

My current behavior:
- Keyboard 1: backlight turn on
- Keyboard 2: backlight turn on (automatically)

My system:
- version: 1.64.527952
- Os: Mac OS
