Here's a grand idea: DON'T MAKE ME CREATE YET ANOTHER ACCOUNT TO CUSTOMIZE MY VERY EXPENSIVE KEYBOARD! I don't need or even want to backup any customizations. STOP IT. I can't even keep track of all the accounts every business and corporation is demanding these days. Bake the functionality into the device and/or software and call it a day. If you need some convincing, go ask your marketing team about "friction" and all the reasons "high friction" is bad. After you've finished speaking with the marketing team, track down the individual(s) responsible for attempting to make me create an account and tell them at least one of your customers hopes they step on a Lego whilst barefoot.
