Not happy with Logitech. All new look.
Not happy at all. I've spent serious money on all PCs in house over time. And what get my money worth that was spent and thats full use of the MX2 Anywhere mouse and Mx keys2 keyboards. Logibolt came out and it wasn't backward compatible unify. NO I will not buy all new hardware at once just to use logibolt. I buy hardware based on what it do more for me over the hardware I had. I see some upgrades in the new Logi options+ software but no direct support for the older hardware which really isn't that old. There should be one "options program" in use not two for all the logitech software using bolt or unify
and the Logibolt itself needs to be backward compatible for me even want to buy into it with existing gear. Options+ should not require options to also be install. One app period.
Next this requirement to have a Logi ID now to use the software to control the hardware you buy. No friggin way period.
That leads subscription services which directly makes fully drop buying from companies. I buy software and buy hardware with proper software support. When get terrible support the hardware is useless. and proper support I get have the fully installation package on archived on my NAS. Can fully install without the need have account just to enable or fully use the software. It software for a HID equipment here too.
Logitech has always failed to listen to the users of the equipment. You just do want you want. But that over the years has really only ****** me off as a buyer. And naturally the products did do all that wanted which lead me to buying far fewer times. I wait and wait and wait tell i finally see something near good. Yet still lacking. Logitech has never built truely awesome because it never gets and uses feedback from the users.
Ex: take windows 7 good, 8 *, 8.1 *, 9 dropped, 10 has become reasonable, 11 no way on earth I'm going to use it. The future is LInux. Yes Linux. I got dual booting on all machines. and windows likely will be a VM on the NAS some day.
Yet where logitech working the linux support that users been screaming for the last 10years. No where? Logitech did give a dam about its users switching to linux. And has we switch 10 to 11 in 2025 how many users say no once again and drive further toward linux.
Logitech needs a feedback design forum with it customer. Your way to isolated from the customer. And it ain't any good.
