I do not and can never see a time when I would want to lock my keyboard.
I have disabled password and PIN numbers on my computer, in order to access windows quicker after booting.
I do not need the security this offers.
I note that there is an option to disable certain keys (windows key, for example) but the key that I want to disable is not included in this list.
I want to disable the padlock key, (top right hand side of the keyboard)
The only way I can do this is to select "do nothing" in the key reassignment window.
This works for a limited time, then I'll pick up my keyboard, touch this key by mistake and find myself locked out.
I then have to sign in again and go through the steps of removing my password and the PIN number that I didn't want to use in the first place.
Is there any way to stop this key from working other than digging it out with a knife?
Can it be added to the list of keys that are able to be disabled?
