The app-specific customizations do not always work and it is frustrating. I end up wasting time because my MX Master 3S mouse won't do the Outlook specific actions I mapped to the buttons and instead uses the global settings. Maddening. This makes it hard for me to recommend this mouse to others and I would definitely switch if a more reliable mouse came on the market.
