It would be helpful to see the %-charge, while charging rather than just a lightning-bolt and a charging tooltip.
I have to remove the cable to see the level of charge. I mean, I already know that I am charging the device. I would prefer to know the charge level which changes and indicates the charging state rather than a, frankly, useless 'charging' notification.
