I perform multiple "groups" of tasks in various software GUI that have many GUI buttons that initiate a specific command. Each group of commands are performed repetitively at different times. I feel I would get more use out of the mouse if I could have multiple button configuration profiles of keyboard shortcuts within one application.

Simplified: Could it be so that I can have multiple button configuration profiles within a single application.
