MX Keys Backlight timeout option
MX Keys: Add keyboard backlight timer option. Lights turn off after 6 seconds. You already have a customization program built, just add brightness timeout settings. The brightness should not turn off after 6 seconds "to save battery",,, im literally sitting at a desk with the power save mode turned off, stop trying to save power, I dont want that. This is a very expensive keyboard with very poor feature set. Leave my backlight keys ON.

Bad product managers, not listening to their customers.

Logitech have put "Planned" next to another idea about this but that was 2 years ago! At this rate we'll have GTA 6 before we can keep the backlight on on a keyboard. COME ON LOGITECH, WE JUST WANT TO EXTEND THE TIMEOUT!

As a long time Logitech customer I have now moved onto another brand of wireless keyboard that allows for the backlight to be kept on. I would have gladly put up with less battery life on the MX keys as the light constantly turning off on me has driven me insane. I often pause for longer than 30 seconds and while the proximity sensor is okay sometimes, most of the time I have to wave my hand above the keyboard for some seconds before the backlight kicks in and then I have to reset myself and of course moments later when I next pause I have to do the same thing over. What I can't understand is why this is not user definable through the Options software. The sad thing for Logitech is that they already had me as a loyal customer to their ecosystem (over 10 active Logitech devices currently) for years but now I have begun looking at alternatives. I'm sure you'll fix the problem with a miniscule firmware change once the feedback gets critical but, it's just sad that you'll only fix this once it hurts your bottom line rather than proactively listening to loyal customers.

This feedback page is a lie.
People have apparently been begging for this for years but if the market research says that 9 intelligent users will complain about the absense of a basic function, and 10 idiots will complain about the battery draining too fast because they forget to turn the backlight off . . . well, there's your answer.
Logitech will never, ever fix this problem because they have a fundamental lack of respect for their loyal customers. This is purely a numbers game to them without a single concern for business ethics.

@Logitech - Can we get a response from you on this? Will this be fixed with a firmware update?

Please fix. The problem has surely added up to considerable lost sales, returns and a terrible rep with your loyal customers. Thank you.

keep backlight always on without turning off, ever! unless I opt to turn it off. so annoying and critical to everyday work. update us soon!! I know y'all read this. how is it there's videos prolonging backlight timer but its no where to be found for the mx keys mini for Mac??? keep our business and listen to us. not like were asking for alien technology or firmware.

add backlight timer, this off and on **** is annoying. Allow it to be seen in GHUB also. Why do I need two programs from the same company that do the same **** thing?!

Just got this keyboard and I'm ready to sell it off because of the lack of this feature, it makes it extremely annoying, even wired it turns off after 5 mins, what's the logic in that?

They are adding all kinds of hotkey, shortcut, and AI **** to the software and this basic need is going overlooked. I just need to type and the light to stay on ALL the time. Period, that's it. This needs to be a ******* keyboard firmware update not tied to the Logi software either.

There are hundreds of us begging Logitech to fix this!!!
Either let us:
1: turn on/off the ambient sensor
2: schedule the ambient sensor's working hours.
3: ability to switch between: Always On/Ambient Sensor/Always OFF.
The backlight is one of the major attractions and features of why I have been a Logitech keyboard fan for a long time, but this new ambient sensor is awful.
I don't care (and the users are voicing the same) how much light is in my room or desk: I want the keyboard BACKLIT. PERIOD!!
Why hasn't this been a priority for logitech? The items they put on the Planned schedule are mostly inconsequential compared to this very much needed and critical feature and functionality.
This hardware is too expensive for us not being able to control its features, especially the critical ones like the keyboard backlight!!! -

This is ridiculous! I'm in a dark room and I cannot see the keys. How do I know where to place my fingers to lighten up the keyboard? I have to actually wave my hand over the keyboard to get the backlight on! Really!!??

Please add this to this keyboard. I just bought this and I find the lack of customization really annoying. 6 seconds is too low. When I am typing my eyes change focus, especially when reading things. Really wish I had read the reviews on this. My old wired keyboard I could leave the lighting on all day. I am really quite ****** about this. Can you not add this to all versions of this keyboard??! I have the Logi+ software and I see no option. Wish I hadn't thrown the box out otherwise this would be getting returned.
Here is the other problem. You guys are making the assumption that we can install software. I am using this with my personal device and my corporate computer. I can't install software on that. What you really should have done is put some kind of physical dip switch on the board to set the timeout levels and/or disable it.
Basically I have to keep it plugged in. That's the only way this wireless keyboard allows me to keep the light on. So I replaced a wired keyboard with a wireless keyboard that I need to leave plugged in. Thanks a lot Logitech.
Here are the other stupid things about this keyboard:
1) When plugged in the backlight STILL times out and turns off after 5 minutes.
2) When plugged in touching the case doesn't turn the light back on. -

Logitech, please!! Just add this feature to mx keys mini! Its not a big deal for you.
