Modifier keypresses not registering on MX Master 3 mouse (regular version) when using Mac

This seems to only affect Macs. Modifier keys (Command, Option, Control, etc) are effected. They just don't register properly. Other keys that I tested (letters) worked fine. Modifiers work fine in Windows.

When CMD is bound to a mouse button using "Keyboard Shortcut" it does not count as a true keypress. This works fine for browsing and some actions but does not work at all in some environments.
