    I just had ChatGPT help me to write a Smart Action that triggers "real sleep" and not hibernation. We explored many options only to realize at the end that using simple GUI automation was the right way to go.

    So what this does is to send the "Win+X" key combination to bring up the "Quick Link" menu, then send the letters U and S to trigger shutdown sub-menu and sleep command respectively.
    NB: I wanted to attach the action here, but apparently that's not supported.

    It only works on English language Windows. If you have a different language installed, rather than using my action, just create your own by sending the keystrokes Win+X and then the key for the "Shutdown" sub-menu and then the key for "Sleep".
