Wow. Even Google's AI has picked up on this:

"The Logitech Signature K650's Insert key is indeed used for both its Insert function and as a language switch, and cannot be remapped to a different function using Logitech's official software (Logi Options+). This limitation is a common complaint among users who rely on the Insert key for other functionalities like copy-pasting.

While Logi Options+ allows for some remapping of other keys, it does not offer the option to remap the Insert key or change its behavior when it's also used for language switching. Users have requested this functionality in Logitech's UserVoice forum, but it has not yet been implemented."

Common Logitech! Get 'er done. I see Logi software updates every few weeks. This _cannot_ be a big deal to implement. Why not take the customer service win and... just do it?

Please, please, please! Just add the language switch key to the list of keys that can be configured and fn-locked like literally all the others.

I like many others, user Ctrl-Insert and Shift-Insert as alternative cut / paste keys. This works in every app in Windows and in many other contexts (linux consoles, where CTRL-C has a very different meaning).

Making this key unconfigurable, makes this keyboard non-standard and cripples its use for many common tasks.

This _cannot_ be a huge ask. This is a configurable keyboard, it's brand new (to me anyway), and the software is still getting updates, so I know you have a dev team on this.

Fix it fix it fix it! Or I suppose I'll have to return it. Too bad. I like it otherwise.
