The "try it yourself" part got me hard, as a developer that uses VS Code for a living i always hated how my MX Master scrolls there compared to Chrome.
This is unacceptable.
Edit: for anyone who stumbles upon this, i found a solution until Logitech will get up and fix it for all their users:
