I, like many users - I have found posting on the internet, seem to have a problem with your K850 Keyboard constantly going "inactive" while the mouse is fine. It has nothing to do with batteries or proximity. As an EE, you have an ongoing and unresolved firmware and/or software issue or perhaps, a weak transmitter/receiver hardware issue.
