I'm really unhappy with how the mx mechanical mini keyboard manages the backlight. When I put my computer to sleep and turn off the lights to my home office, the keyboard backlight stays lit and will not turn off. This happens with bluetooth and bolt connections. However, if I connect the keyboard via the usb-c cable, then the backlight will turn off eventually and as expected. While this keeps the battery from draining over night, it kind of defeats the purpose of having a wireless keyboard. I also have the non mechanical mx keys mini which does not display this behavior, so it seems like the issue can be solved by looking into what was done on the mx keys mini and porting it over to the mx mechanical mini.
