5 suggestions for customizing gesture-sets: default set custmz., smart actions, double-click, profiles, mod key support.
I would like support for linking smart actions to not just the mouse's buttons, but to button+gestures. E.g., I use top button + up to open spotlight search. I currently use top + right to open prompt builder, but it's not working. I would like support to build a smart action which copies highlighted text, opens chatGPT, pastes the text and hits enter instead. I can not; it removes all of my custom gestures, and simplifies the top button to JUST the smart action.
I would like support for changing parts of the default gesture sets. For example, the "pan" option is ONLY available as a button+gesture combo, but I would like to modify the 'just button' function from smart zoom to something else. If I don't use the premade gestureset, I am unable to pan. As such, I use it, but hate the smart zoom being necessary. Or, I would like to change the App Navigation gestureset to include show desktop, instead of the current redundancy of two extremely similar overview gestures.
sometimes logi already has a default buttonset for an application (e.g. safari), when I try to create a custom buttonmap, instead of importing my global commands (like when creating a map for any non-officially-supported app... which I much prefer), I must recreate my complex 16-gesture mouse settings again from scratch. Even if I go around the "premade safari" clickbox and try to use the application path, it still defaults to this setting.
allow keyboard shortcuts to include 4 modifier keys, if possible. For my custom commands on mac, I use fn + opt + ctrl + cmd + some_letter. That way I know they're my custom shortcuts, and won't compete with any OS or App keyboard commands. The software doesn't allow this, though I'm sure it COULD.
big ask, but support for customizing double clicking a button. Just one more way to get another command into the mouse button gestures (; or even double click button + directional gestures!
customization of polling rate for gaming. I believe the old software supported this (?), but I'm not positive. I don't want to have to use both logi+ and logi gaming software for the same mouse!
Finally, you guys are the best! I recommend these mice to all of my poweruser colleagues (; thanks for your continued and amazing support for this powerful software!
