I'm on MacOS. When using the mute/unmute microphone button on my MX Mechanical keyboard I have discovered an oversight that can cause huge issues.
If the microphone is muted and the keyboard is disconnected for any reason, it's impossible to unmute the mic without reconnecting the keyboard!
Now, there's an icon in the top menu bar that shows the microphone as muted. Clicking this does nothing.
Suggestion: Make this icon clickable to unmute.
