Two things:
First, I didn't ask to have a display of caps lock status. It was popping up during Teams calls, and I had to figure out that Options was the source, then turn it off.
Second, my vertical mouse has an option to set the left-side bar to forward-back but not one for page up-page down. I haven't figured out what forward-back is, but it's odd that something as normal as page up-page down isn't provided.
