Issue:
For months now (maybe years?), I get into a state where all the programmed functionality of my mouse resets and goes back to defaults. For example, my up down arrows are usually mapped to volume, but they revert to "back" and "forward". It took me forever to figure out a repro for this issue, but I finally figured it out. It is the Spotify desktop app. Sometimes when I bring Spotify to the foreground, it resets my mouse. So weird that Spotify would affect hardware. Anyways, to fix it, I have to go to Activity Monitor and kill all Logitech related processes. Then I have to turn the mouse on and off a few times and sometimes unplug my external monitor. Then after doing that a bunch of times, my mouse will magically get is custom mappings back.
