I would really like for my mouse to work properly even when there is a firmware update that needs to be installed. Currently, the scroll wheel only works after launching Logi options, which uses system resources. The mouse pointer doesn't apply acceleration settings at various times - seemingly correlated to firmware or driver updates. Please incorporate basic OS functionality (scroll wheel, mouse acceleration, etc) so that trackballs & mice will work properly with plug-n-play. Not all organizations allow users to install software. I've been a longtime logitech customer (couple of decades) and am becoming more and more frustrated with my mouse not working when updates are rolled out.
