Firmware Update Tool doesn't ever connect

I'm trying to use Firmware Update Tool in Logi Options+ app to update the firmware on my MX Anywhere 3 mouse and MX Keys S keyboard, but the devices are never detected during the firmware check. "Unable to detect any supported devices ..." I've waited over 5min. This update tool is broken and needs to be fixed.

    I also have the MX Anywhere 3 mouse and MX Keys keyboard. The firmware tool will not find them, even though they are connected via the Unifying Receiver and show up in the Logi Options+ app.
