Battery Percentage Incorrect for MX Ergo in macOS

Please pass the battery percentage for the MX Ergo to macOS for Bluetooth. Right now macOS believes the battery power is always 100% from System Settings > Bluetooth or any other third-party app (e.g. AirBuddy). This makes it really hard to determine the battery level and when to charge.

    This has been driving me nuts for years. It looks like the Bluetooth battery service is even being used to report battery level, but it's ALWAYS 100%
    This is such an awful experience. The hardware works, but reporting battery level correctly should be considered table stakes for ALL rechargeable devices.

    I run two macs, one is up to date, the other is a 2017 model, running Mojave.
    I use the one MX Ergo for both machines.
    Modern machine always shows the battery as 100%, Mojave is a lot more accurate,
    letting me know when the battery is low.
