Teleporting cursor, bad sensor/firmware
Logitech Lift is a really great mouse overall. The biggest problem is however that the sensor is quite terrible. I am using it on a white table where my Magic Mouse from Apple has no issues, however I've used an app that plots every mouse location and I can see that the mouse jumps/teleports small distances ahead all the time. This is likely because the sensor is not able to see the surface well enough, but this has not been an issue for the magic mouse, which is known to 'have a bad sensor'. It's possible this can be fixed with software - perhaps exposure balancing or something. The fact is that I see dots like this, indicating each mouse cursor position, while moving the mouse in a smooth motion, across the surface: ". . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . ." which indicates the mouse does not report movement as it happens in real life. Even with bad hardware, the firmware should detect these jumps and identify that they are physically impossible to do, and calibrate accordingly. Less-movement is better than more-movement, as it has caused me to click the wrong button on several occations, which is a fatal flaw for this mouse. I would be very happy with it otherwise.
I am using the Bolt receiver, and have also tried Bluetooth as well. The problem is not with BT or Bolt wireless interference either.
