I have the Anywhere 3 and Anywhere 3S, and they both have the occasional tendency to switch the function of the scroll wheel on their own. I love to have them on free scroll, but on their own they will sometimes switch to having resistance when I start up my PC. I then have to open Options+ and switch back to free scroll again. I hope this is something you'll look into in the near future.
