Add smart actions inside guestures rather than need an entire button for it.
Make Smart Actions available as a guesture and not an entire button. The user would gain another 4 shortcuts or smart actions per button. It just makes sense.
I actually use all the buttons on my mouse for the use they were designed. We cant give it up for a macro key.
Let them hide in guestures.
