keyboard appears to fall asleep after 20 secs of inactivity
Hi guys! I have this recurring problem with the Mx Keys Mini on my new Macbook Pro (running Monterey 12.4).
I am a senior software developer and have some idea about software configuration and use.
The keyboard is set up properly and all permissions are granted. The problem occurs in a home office environment (no particular radio/bluetooth interference).
The keyboard is fully charged, as is the Macbook Pro.
I can replicate this issue 100% of the time.
After not having touched the keyboard for a short period (around 20 seconds), the keyboard appears to enter some kind of sleep mode.
By which I mean, the next keystrokes (following the above mentioned period of inactivity) will result in missed keystrokes 100% of the time, apparently while the keyboard 'wakes up' again.
It is very annoying, because it happens literally all the time. In the time it takes me to read a message on Slack or ponder some code, the 'sleep state' invariably starts, and my next keypresses just fail to register.
The waking up process takes as long as 1-2 seconds and is totally noticeable and annoying, long enough for me to go "come on, come on" out loud.
This problem never occurs for me on my other rig running latest Windows 10 with the same keyboard (note: I never have more than 1 computer running at the same time).
I would love to help you debug this in any way I can. You need this fixed, and so do I :)
Love from Sweden
