I have both MX Keys and MX Keys Mini. I am a developer and have the functions keys defaulting to Functions. The volume controls are over F11, F12, and Volume up on the MX Keys, whereas on the Mini the volume keys are F11, F12 and ins. This means that on my full size keyboard, I hit the Fn key to operate all 3 volume keys, but on the Mini I need the Fn key for Mute and Vol down, but not for Vol up. That seems wrong, especially since the Vol Up key is a "double" key with both Vol Up and Ins.
