My name is Marko and I've been working as a Product Designer (now Senior) for over 20 years.

Please consider adding an option for manual backlight control. Currently, it turns off after ~3 seconds as soon as I move my hands away and it's very unpleasant, especially when working at night.

The sensor needs some time to activate and turn on the backlight (+ additional fade-in time) and the "key hunting" in the dark is very tedious.

Not to mention that this constant backlight on/off is very unpleasant for the eyes and focus, which can be very dangerous for people suffering from epilepsy and similar disorders.

Overall, the whole backlight auto turn-off issue brings down the whole UX of an otherwise very good product.

My suggestion is to add an option to keyboard settings where users could choose between auto or manual mode or to disable the backlight automatic turning off the feature completely.

Manual can be either predefined intervals for keyboard backlight off time interval (E.g. 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, etc.), or via entering the number of seconds (E.g. 300 seconds, and so on).
