Options+ Agent consumes over 20% of CPU constantly
I'm currently using Windows 11 on a Surface Pro 8 with a MX Keys and MX Master 3 connected via Bluetooth and configured in the Options+ software. After some time has passed, the Logi Options+ Agent starts consuming about 20% of CPU nonstop, causing the device fans to run at maximum. I force end that task from the task manager and open Options+ to restart the process, and it is fine again for a few hours.

At Windows 10, i7 Core, 32Gb RAM the Logi Options+ Agent after latest update [while being disabled in settings] still take an enormous 18% of the CPU usage.
Crazy!
See the screenshot.

I think the CPU load is not the main problem, Logi Option+ has made the cursor response delay the big problem for me.

Windows 11 Pro, Intel Core i7-12700H
The attached Task Manager screenshot shows the 5 applications with highest CPU usage:
1. Trader Workstation, 2.8% - Occupies 2 of 3 monitors, updates hundreds of stock prices and 9 charts multiple times/seconds.
2. Logi Options+ Agent, 1.4% - Manages mouse settings and consumes CPU resources even when the mouse is idle.
3. System, 1.2% - Responsible for various system services such as hardware abstraction, process and memory management.
4. Logi Options+ Agent, 0.9% - Another one. Why?
5. Logi Options+ Updater, 0.7% - Checks for Logi Options+ application updates continuously? Checking once per day should be enough. -

I see constant 3-10% CPU usage from the Logi Options+ Agent and the Logi Options+ Updater.
I'm on Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-core. Windows measures CPU usage across all cores as 100%. So that means these two processes are constantly using 40-60% of a full CPU core to do... nothing.
Given how prevalent Logitech accessories are, this kind of thing scales up to a huge amount of wasted energy across the globe. This is a disgrace.

Same here on a fresh new W11 pro system with core i7:
agent + updater processes are oscillating around 3% of CPU, even with automatic updates disabled. Please fix that.
I only need to be able to setup the middle button of my "MX anywhere 2" to act as a "middle button", no need for any other bloatting or useless service -

On my computer, 4 cores (of 24) are constantly occupied with Logi+ Updater and Agent. I wonder what's making them so busy. I'd really like to use this software as it's UI is really beautiful and the options are great. But always sacrificing constantly 2-5% of the complete CPU power just for Mouse & Keyboard software? For the MX Keys I could live without Logi+, but I would really miss the configuration options for my MX Master 3S which sadly only runs with Options+. I would have switched to the older Options if possible. Because system performance is more important than a beautiful UI for me. Maybe I will look into the Microsoft Surface Precision mouse. But first I will google if their drivers are also such CPU Hogs.

On my Surface Pro 7 with Windows 11 Pro, Logi Options+ Agent uses 0.5% to 2.6% CPU even when the Logitech MX Master 3S mouse is switched off.
