Setup: Macbook Air 2020 M1 with external monitor connected in extended mode, Big Sur 11.4. Front thumb button remapped to gestures to use as expose (all windows)

Issue: When external monitor is focus, expose action does not happen when remapped front thumb button is pressed unless logi options+ app is open.
Expose action happens on button press on laptop monitor even when options+ app is closed (expected behaviour).
