It's very awkward and time-consuming to change devices using button on the bottom of the mouse. It that button could be remapped to some other button, or even better, work synchronically with device change on the MX keyboard (by pressing one key on keyboard both keyboard and mouse changes devices together) that would be the best change you can make.
